Jassem is one of the visionaries behind the Arab Leadership Academy (ALA). It was under his direction and guidance as Managing Director of Gulf Excellence Consulting Company (GECC), the company he founded in 2004, that the Arab Leadership Academy was converted from an abstract idea into a concrete reality.
During its four years of existence, GECC, under Jassem’s management, achieved recognition from prestigious international bodies including the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and the Association of Management Consulting Firms and completed numerous consulting projects in both the public and private sectors of Kuwait.
During this time GECC orchestrated and managed two Gulf Excellence Award ceremonies and Gulf Excellence Forums in Bahrain and Qatar.
This past year Jassem recapitalized GECC into a holding company consisting of five subsidiaries: ALA, international consulting partners in both human capital management/ development and financial services, market research, and event management, plus a section for new projects/initiatives.
Recently GECC was renamed Synergy Corp. and Jassem was elected by its Board of Directors as its Chief Executive Officer.
Previously, Jassem was Chairman of the First and Second e-Government Conferences in the State of Kuwait. He carried out various assignments related to system re-structuring with the Government of Kuwait. He has participated in various seminars and workshops related to current issues in management around the world. He is a certified auditor for ISO.
Jassem holds a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of Tulsa, USA.
He recently completed a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Hull University UK. His MBA dissertation was on Leadership Development in the Gulf.
Jassem is also in the process of getting his accreditation from the Institute of Management Consultants, UK.
He is Synergy Corp’s ambassador for Excellence in Performance.
